Svantaggi
This was previously the auto division of Johnson Controls (JCI) and during that time it managed to maintain some semblance of profitability. After this division spun off to become Adient it lasted less than a year before things started going badly. Horrible decisions filling mid-level operational management positions created a culture of old-school managers with no capability to manage others properly, which was called out by Barclay's publicly. The company is imploding, rife with layoffs, key operational people quitting, and continued poor operational performance. Plant operations struggle every year to achieve goals for a variety of reasons, but the continual shuffling of operations positions and poor executive decision making has created an environment incapable of sustaining any long term results. Entire departments are being cut - departments responsible for providing support and guidance to operations; however, they are probably rightfully cut from the company because there is no accountability for anyone to be held to process or practices across the operation. Stock price is down to the level they appear to cover assets and make the company open to buy-out or hostile takeover, which may be what the new CEO wants. After all, who comes into a company and eliminates Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement as one of his first acts unless they are stripping these processes to leave a bare-bones operation for someone else to deal with? This was either throwing the baby out with the bath water or preparing for sell-off or worse, by all appearances. This is not a pleasant place to work and there is no apparent future here - most of the good people have been laid off, left on their own, or are looking for another job outside the company.
