Vantaggi
- Learning Culture - Throughout my career I thought this to be a myth within work organizations. This private company has perfected it through the dedication of key educators.
- Positive feedback and constructive criticism that doesn't belittle you.
- A management team that understands the importance of delegation without the need to micromanage because those who work here recognize prehospital care is a collaborative effort.
- Professionalism - if you're looking for an example, speak to anyone of the practitioners within this flight service. They take their responsibilities very seriously and will not hesitate to be a patient advocate when required.
I have been with the company for over 16 months, I've worked in all aspects it has to provide. Early on I would have thoughts of 'how does this make any sense'. I have learned that there is always a bigger picture and I'm not always privy to it. They utilize the strength of some to establish a good foundation for others to learn. Yes, this means if you're a strong practitioner you'll be doing more work for often the same pay but part of being a prehospital care provider is to provide others the foundation to improve their proficiency. This in turn lifts the over all goal of providing positive outcome in patient care. You'll gain a greater appreciation for the profession. If you're a mercenary, in it for the money, I suggest not applying. If you're in it for the endless education and dedication to the core values of EMS, this is definitely the place for you.
