Vantaggi
I worked at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. The workload, staff, and patients were great. Hospital is beautiful and patient care comes first. Pay is ok.
Svantaggi
I am not sure if the hospital is in a strong financial bind, but I began to notice that it started to strongly feel that way. Hours began to be extremely budgeted and put under a microscope. There is no standby pay, nor any differential for being on-call on weekends. Along side that, one of the main patient elevators has been out of order for over 6 months, making it inconvenient for patients, maybe they do not want to pay to fix it? When I left, a new manager started to oversee the department. She was really nice, however she was a one person show overseeing employees, answering calls, handling authorizations and referrals, scheduling patients, and doing paperwork. Unfortunately micromanaging was becoming a huge issue. Some type of administrative assistant is desperately needed in this department to alleviate the heavy load.
