- Poor Hr practices; HR is made up of people who are very traditional in their way of leadership and not open to change - A lot of hidden unemployment in the bank with some people in high roles like managers barely doing admin work and hiding behind 'pending projects' - The bank wastes a lot of resources on projects that are started and not followed through to the end. Most of the work is done using consultants - Nepotism; the bank prides itself in fair recruitment however it's clear within the bank that nepotism and favoritism run the day - A lot of junior staff are overlooked and no attention is given to any junior programs like JPP and Internships. They are merely a count program - Half of the hires are people who studied abroad. The bank overlooks local African talents and seems to give preference to Africans who have studied and lived abroad. - Certain nationalities are preferred and this results in bias in decision making. This is also shown by the lack of diversity in the employees where two nationalities make up 50% of the bank -A lot of politics and an extremely hierarchical with a culture of secrecy from the high-ups - many of the senior managers/managers have been there a long time -Micromanagement at every level, there is a culture to make anyone below you feel less important - No career mobility; some people have been in the same position for 10 years
