Very small company with limited resources and benefits. Leadership emphasized transparency, but communication around company performance and major decisions did not always align with that message. The company went through multiple rounds of layoffs and ultimately closed. Communication during the shutdown seemed inconsistent, based on external stakeholders who contacted former employees directly for clarity. Some messages expressed confusion or concern, which put former employees in uncomfortable and occasionally reputationally risky positions.
