Flexible hours can work around college student time. There are multiple ways to climb the company ladder if you desire to do so. Most co worker are friendly and fun to work with. They can and sometimes well cut hours on a whim esp. during non-holiday weeks (minimum hours they can give you is 25 and 16 hours is your under 18 years old.) you have around 5-7 bosses in the store and all must have a good opinion of your work ethic in order to climb the company ladder. Donations and fundraiser collected are from nice and loyal customers but really it's just a massive tax break credit for them. Retirement is a joke; veteran of 30-40 year with the company explain that it's not worth it because you get around $1400-$1500 annually, that it's just better to keep working while you can able-body stand for 8 hour's a day. You are not allowed sit down unless you are break or lunch. Customers can be pretty disrespectful from time to time ( it's retail duh). Wage negotiations are a hassle to deal with and the company well always extremely lowball their offers (hence they offered 55 cent pay bumb during inflation.
