Because of the restructuring, people have had to wear several hats, with no additional pay. Sometimes, the same title with the same role can have very large discrepancies in the salary. That is, they will pay more for an external hire than an internal one. My predecessor was an external hire, paid 122% more than me (just recently found out), even though I'm doing his role plus 2 others I've been asked to take on because they made several people redundant. The whole process was very disingenuous and lacked transparency. Very bureaucratic. Lots of red tape, very political. A permanent contract does not necessarily mean job stability. Some who have been working with Alcon for 10-20 years were easily made redundant. Employee turnover rate is very high. I've had to endorse to 3 different people for the same role in this year alone.
