Really tight deadlines for many projects

It seems there are people who work there with decent jobs.

Unprofessional. Means you pay for their problems. The first day, I hadn't even filled out paperwork, and they had me cut thick gauge wires for 5 hours WITHOUT PROPER TOOLS, possibly doing permanent damage to wrists, which they weren't very concerned about. I did this because they assured me this was an extraordinary situation (which makes sense because they weren't set up for it) and soon I would be working assembling their units which was what, originally, I was told I would be doing. They kept assuring me of this and I was excited to work in solar power (with the possibility of a full time position dangling like a carrot in front of me) I don't mind tedious work, but if you messed up and (oops!) Have to fill an order and your company is not set up to fill this order, you can't just hire a single person to do the entire work of a company you would subcontract a job to, again WITHOUT THE PROPER TOOLS. You need a lever, a simple machine to cut hundreds of thick gauge wire. The lever for your company is not in my arm. I could have set up their company for the job by buying a few tools which would have made the job much quicker and they would have maybe spent 100 dollars more? The President of the Company kept telling me "we were caught with out pants around our ankles". You can finish the rest of the jokes in your head.
