The company sounds great but most of the “perks” are not available to the lower level employees. We can’t take the time from running all day completing tasks to attend the special events and seminars that are heavily promoted within.
There are not many opportunities to move up from here at all.
The IT is from India so there’s not a language barrier per se, but getting help from someone with a heavy accent can be a problem.
You’re just a cog in the grinding money wheel, so no one cares if you go or stay.
Been here 3 years and am a top-level performer, but only have received an approx 20 cents/hr raise, one time ever.
Sub-par work from others on the “team” means you get to help them do their work, but for no credit.
Culture of secrets; no one on the team has the full picture of what we do and how we accomplish it, except for supervisors. Very very weird and disconcerting…like working with blinders on.
They want to look as if they trust you to do your job…but they really don’t trust you.
Age-related bias in hiring & promotions. No one above 35 gets promoted from within.
There is no clear ladder from this job to any other job in the company…you’re just how they make their money and that is all.
So many of the management team are young and inexperienced, and don’t know how to talk to people below them. Your supervisor is learning how to treat people
by experimenting on you so that’s not fun. Some days we get “angry robot” supervisors, and some days they act like your close friend. Sooooo many trainings, but none of them teach supervisors how to treat others like human beings.
