The CEO is what made this job bad. He was very anal retentive and if you did something such as spill a bit of coffee or hang your coat on the back of your chair, he would fly off the handle. He would act as if the place was some sort exclusive place to work but at one of the company parties he had a red carpet but served a tacky cheap taco bar. Nothing shows appreciation like cheap kit tacos. Don't even get me started on the job itself. Better get on a good project or you won't hit quota. I was on a few different projects and only one was a decent product. The pay was low and you would be lucky if you took home 40k/year after commission. In a period of a year, almost all of upper management left for I assume less toxic and better paying jobs. No one in town is impressed with this place and it harms you when you go to look for a better job.

If you are from Puerto Rico, please reconsider taking this job unless you are DESPERATE. The pay has been $12ph for the last 5 years and I was only offered an increase in salary of 50¢ after working there for two years. Your American co-workers will all earn a minimum wage of $18 for doing the exact same job as you and they will justify it as “location based salary” when living in PR is just (if not more) expensive than the USA. I had a manager tell me to my face that requesting my pay to be increased to $15 was “a fortune” since I live in PR. My advice if you really need this job is to stay an SDR and specifically work with Plug and Play clients and don’t accept a promotion to Sr. SDR. If you do, you will be made to work on 3 campaigns, expect to hit commission on all 3, and if you don’t you will be put on a performance improvement plan and be fired. Make sure to take screenshots/pictures of all conversations and save them for a rainy day. Request that all meeting recordings be sent to you, especially those with managers or leadership. If at any point your performance is questioned or compared to that of your colleagues, make sure HR is involved. Send any and every official communication sent to your via email to your personal email for record keeping. They may threaten you with legal action but their “team of lawyers” is ChatGPT.
