They paint the associate role as an intense, 3-year training program, but this is not the case. From day one, they expect you to perform like a seasoned associate and they will reprimand you on emails regarding your learning assignments/actual on the job performance. Plus, be aware of the type of manager you have and your team members - they will be nice and welcoming at first (like anybody else you meet for the first time) but will quickly be too judgmental and will treat you like garbage. They will also do anything to get rid of you.
