Vantaggi

Good discount, ability to be creative. Stores are beautiful and customers are wonderful to work with. Product is okay (over priced)

Svantaggi

This company promises a lot with no follow through. “Service” is a core value (s) selfless (e) excellence (r) responsible (v) visionary (I) inspirational (c) creative (e) empowering Lovely and great, if only the company actually stood by them. They micro manage everything, store managers have very little say in the hiring of managers on their store. They give a lot of the say up to recruiters and regional manager. Which make no since since the store manager is the one who has to work with team everyday. A lot about hiring is hiring people the Sm feel would be the best fit for the team dynamic and what the team needs to grow. Reciters wouldn’t know what that means. The company is asking that ASM’s to have a 4 year degree, which is unrealistic and unfair. Many store managers do not even have a degree nor does the job description say anything about needing a degree or even needing prior management experience. Payroll is awful and horribly managed. It also has no consistency as how it is allocated. Executives have an unrealistic idea of what the stores go through day to day. All managers are salary and are expected to work more then 40 hours on nw clock as well as work on off time to get more done such as recruiting. Pay does not reflect the long hours and expectations. This company is opening way to many stores way too fast. Let’s slow down and get some good processes in place like, Payroll reporting Timecard reporting Scheduling system Shipment forecast Better health care benefit (worst I have ever been offered) Maternity leave You are discouraged from using PTO because it cost the company too much but are also told you use it so you don’t lose it... yeah I don’t get it either. Company is doing a “people project” that consist of “getting to know the teams” feed back from myself and other managers I have spoken with is that it feels like a witch hunt on store managers and sales associates are uncomfortable with the idea of being interviewed by two DMs alone. DMs need to come in and help rather then scaring people. Store managers are dropping like flys in the company and it’s almost impossible to get in as a ASM or guest lead because of unrealistic expectations.

Vantaggi

Literally nothing, can’t think of one positive thing

Svantaggi

I’ve been with the company for years and watching its continuous downfall has become almost comical. Two years ago we took major pay cuts (like 15%) because of the economy but this year they sent us to the Virgin Islands on this over the top meeting that must have cost a fortune. I’d rather have the money in my bank versus a trip I was forced to go on with senior leadership that are absolute horrific people in general and evil businesses people. It all felt like a big propaganda event with tons of videoing and picture taking so they could come home and post all over linked in and social media about how WONDERFUL it is to work there. Don’t even get me started on the new Little House on the Prairie denim dresses we have to wear because they hire managers that aren’t even strong enough to coach to a dress code. How can you run a store if you can’t even tell someone what they’re wearing inappropriate? Instead now we look like a bunch of little followers of the cult everyone already says it is. As long as we say we “stand out for good” at every opportunity it must mean it’s true right? To know who else brainwashed people into thinking bad things are good for them? CULT LEADERS.
