Vantaggi

Compensation is good overall. There's a lot of high-impact work on the team. Definitely have learned a lot over the past 1.5 years. WLB is manageable with good communication with you manager.

Svantaggi

If you don't set boundaries, managers will definitely try to take advantage of your time. If they see you working late, they won't be checking in on you to see if everything is fine. Any minute you're willing to offer, they'll accept without question. Company culture can be very blame-shifting. Managers will push for unreasonable deadlines, and if the deadlines aren't met, the engineers are the ones that take the blame. Engineers must be very diligent about giving estimates so that the team is aligned about expectations.

Vantaggi

Ambitious projects if you're in the right team. Typically great team-mates. Don't believe the memes, the ppl are not back stabbing jerks but are overall genuinely nice. Not constrained by budgets when building cool things. Tools while sometimes clunky are powerful.

Svantaggi

Schizophrenic lack of focus, entire teams get split, merged and upended multiple times a quarter. Some product managers are disconnected from reality. It didn't use to be the case, the PM-Ts were previously top notch. You're pushed to vibe code everything. Established products with loyal customers are getting neglected. Newer VP level leaders don't seem to know what they are doing. Veteran OG VP level leaders are either leaving in droves or seem stressed or checked out.
