Compensation is great, especially if you're coming out of uni (especially for South Africans, many other companies don't come close). AWS provides you with ample resources to perform well, and a dedicated mentor as you become tenured.

Having a bad manager can ruin your ambition. It's also very metric based, which is required and can make work feel robotic at times. Because certain metrics are required from you, this makes taking additional responsibility almost impossible unless you're breezing through case work, which is likely not the reality.
