The skills, business acumen, and life lessons that I learned at Angel Publishing are invaluable. When I arrived at Angel, I was a recent college grad, really only a boy. Now, I leave a man. Don’t believe some of these heinous, earlier reviews about a toxic work environment. Angel is both fun and functional. Yes, there will be many company outings and opportunities to socialize, such as axe-throwing, company happy hours, or baseball games. But beneath that shiny veneer, Angel is a well-oiled machine. There is little-to-no micromanagement. You’re responsible for your own deadlines and workload. If you need guidance, it’s there. You only have to ask. Angel is a very special place. It may not be for everybody, but if you like a good time and you’re self-sufficient, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable place to work in Baltimore. I loved my tenure at Angel, and I’ll always look back fondly at my time spent there.

Again, you need to be a self-starter. They’ll give you enough rope to hang yourself, and some people certainly do. Also, like the real world, this is an office filled with people of varied personalities and backgrounds. If you have trouble talking or interacting with other human beings, this may not be the job for you.
