Internal networking in the company impacts much more your chances of getting a promotion than the actual numerical result you obtain thanks to your work, which is very frustrating in such a "numbers-driven" company that should theoretically reward you for your actual results. Also, the company easily lays off people whenever it needs (restructurings, or any other internal reasons) obviously providing exit packages, but with really bad people management.
