Vantaggi
You get to work inside a fast passed, whole-sale ( in Kroger/Costco/Sams club) "marketing" program who thrives on direct marketing and developing leaders. Work with a team of people who are young (23-21) energetic, positive, and team focused in meeting settings. Direct connection to those successful to business. Talk to a LOT of people. Every day is different (good and bad). Potential for travel.Traveling DIRECTLY from the office to the field gets you paid (minimum wage per hour) or more if more if longer then 40 miles. Leaders Care about your education and success (but have no control from upper-management oversight). Path to success can move fast (as advertised).
Svantaggi
Undefined work hours and pay. Peaks and valleys pay schedule (minimum wage, or if commissions per hour are greater then minimum wage). Pay is biased on products dropped during shows/shift. Commission is % of products picked up from customers (varies, not predictable even when best in business). The message promoted is "We are in promoters, not salesmen" but sales numbers run everything and it will catch up with you, regardless of work ethic and 90% of everything else. The only way to overcome sales # is to be the right mold for what the boss sees as a "Leader". Upon promotion; pay is structured biased on commission #s again, not an hourly raise at all (Leaders making a higher % from a larger gross pay, not a larger base pay...IF you make it into leadership). If you aren't in the vision for what the boss wants, you will find your hours cut back; so it doesn't matter what your commission per hour is if your hours fade. No Health, Dental, Eye, Life, or any insurance. Expect to travel a large distance, or go without shifts. Only one individual has made it to the 6 figure point in the history of the business. Don't discredit the opportunity...just know the facts...it is a TON of work with a high potential of not working out.
