I joined Global Insight Conferences as a graduate in the sponsorship team and it’s been a genuinely great place to start my career. The training is solid and ongoing – you’re not just thrown in at the deep end. Managers are approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in your development. There’s a clear progression path and regular reviews so you always know what you’re working towards. The commission structure is transparent and achievable, and if you’re willing to put the work in, the earning potential is very real. It’s motivating to see results so quickly. I’ve also really enjoyed attending conferences – it’s rewarding to see deals you’ve closed come to life and to manage relationships face to face.

It’s a sales role, so it’s not for anyone who dislikes picking up the phone or being measured against targets. The environment is fast-paced and can be intense at busy points in the conference cycle. Being office-based might not suit everyone.
