Vantaggi
Decent benefits for retirement. Opportunities to work on different things. I believe the pay is good. Many would say that's not the case, but I think based on the market, they pay very good.
Svantaggi
Senior Mgmt is more concerned with the stock price than with the development of their internal talent. IT (my area) is always considered an issue for the company, but Aon is reluctant or not understanding how to reinvest into the IT structure. (There still is no company DR plan in place since 9/11---if there was, there would have been drills). Training and Education out of the company is not expected. Only training thru Aon University is expected. If you want to learn something outside your area, you're on your own. Also, trying to find answers for simple things, via the online portal, takes way too long. Many managers at Aon are not taught how to manage...they reach a certain stage and are given the spot and expected to figure it out. The best managers at Aon, come from other companies that have invested the time to train people to run an area and manage the people. AND, the politics at Aon are to say the least, incredible.
