Apogee is a medium size engineering firm supporting mostly DoD contracts. Employees have direct access to senior management and a well staffed HR department. Benefits are explained and when employees have questions responses are timely. The company pays for a yearly retreat in CO in order to bring all employees working at different locations together for socializing and to provide a yearly business review. The company pays well based on experience. It has been an honor to work for and with them, for our men and women in uniform, and the defense of our nation. Don't be confused by the positive tone of this review: this information comes from an engineer who has worked for the company and not from a marketing or human resources source.

Svantaggi

Having worked for the large defense companies as well as other engineering service companies I have no cons that are salient. As with all employment arrangements there are always things that can be done better but none worthy of note with respect to Apogee Engineering LLC in this review.

The workplace culture is overwhelmingly toxic, creating an environment where stress and uncertainty overshadow productivity. Leadership often communicates inconsistently—or not at all—leaving employees confused, unsupported, and hesitant to speak up. Favoritism and blame‑shifting are common, which erodes trust and makes collaboration difficult. Instead of fostering growth, the environment drains morale and motivation, causing high turnover and burnout. Even strong performers eventually feel undervalued and emotionally exhausted.
