People are overworked and underpaid - especially in Finance. Many people blame this on the CFO having no direction. Former CEO (who was fired after a long proxy battle with Elliott Management) led the company to focus on perception rather than true improvement. Hard to be promoted within the company. Many people have been laid off recently, which still is not leading to upward mobility, just increased work with no additional compensation.
