Even worse, the company penalizes you for using the tiny amount of time off you do have. Taking FTO is routinely held against employees during merit reviews, creating a culture where the “flexibility” they brag about is actually a trap. The message is clear: take time off and your raise disappears. If you’re considering joining, understand this upfront: the FTO program is not a benefit. It’s a way for the company to avoid tracking PTO while squeezing as many billable hours out of you as possible.
