They pay pretty well for less specialized transcription (not legal, medical, etc.). I make $1.25/audio minute on 1-day TAT jobs, $1.00/audio minute for 2-day TAT jobs, and $0.80/audio minute for 4-day TAT jobs. Most jobs are clear, single-speaker audio recordings/videos and I usually find the content interesting, which makes it feel easier and like the work is going by faster. There is no set schedule or minimum or maximum amount of work you can do. You can work whenever and however much you want as long as you meet deadlines. If you contact them for assistance, they are quick to respond and very helpful. Otherwise they leave you alone!

The work flow is unpredictable and seems to have decreased dramatically over the past few years. Before, I could easily make $2,000/month working less than 20 hours per week while school was in session (most of their clients are educational institutions, so summer and other school breaks are slow to completely dead). Now I'm lucky to make $1,000/month and I often make a good bit less than that.
