AvalonBay bases its pay on a number of factors, including local living wage guidelines, individual performance, experience level, and job responsibilities. Associates are also able to take advantage of frequent promotions and pay increases through our Career Ladder program. At entry levels, this can occur as quickly as 6 months and, at higher levels, as frequently as once a year. This provides our associates with the potential to increase their pay fairly rapidly. With respect to telecommuting, we have received positive feedback from our associates about our hybrid work model in which associates have the flexibility to work from home certain days and come into the office other days. Any exceptions to this model follow a thorough and consistent review and approval process, most of which fall under our business continuity policy.
