Supervisors treat you horrible. The company states your are “Union,” but your supervisors are not. Think carefully before applying. They do not care about you. You are a number. They don’t care if you get shouted at by a customer; the supervisors will gladly treat you the same. You may go out of your way for a customer, but the supervisors will think you are pathetic for doing so. The only way to get ahead at this job, is to sacrifice your soul and free time for the “greater good” of the company. They do not review a customer’s email before 90 days typically, and you will receive a customer phone call wondering why. Nyseg, and Rochester Electric and Gas (RGE) are the same; however, the way you handle each regional customer is different. Field workers appear to enjoy their lives more, which is a plus for the company/employee.
