When I started to interview with Aware I knew from the start that this was a company I wanted to be a part of. Everyone is passionate about the problems we are solving and it shows. You can tell that no one applied to Aware for a "job," they applied for their career and to solve big problems. One of the things that stood out to me most was the immediate support that I got not only from my own department but all departments across the company. There is such a diverse set of backgrounds and everyone is willing to share their expertise. Leadership is accessible regardless of your job title. And if you have an idea that will benefit customers or employees alike, leaders want to hear it. As a remote employee I am so happy that I am empowered to visit the office as often as I'd like, but am not pressured to visit every X number of weeks. I'm even allowed to bring my dog which makes the drive much more fun. Remote culture and equality is a priority for Aware. They have remote events as often as in-office events so we do not feel left out or out of the loop. Their creative solutions to have a thriving remote culture is noticed and appreciated. In summary, I've worked for many companies in my life. But this is the one that I've felt most inspired, appreciated, and accomplished at.
Svantaggi
This is going to sound so cliche but I don't have any. It is a start-up and it is growing fast. The pain points that we feel are completely normal at this stage of growth but the company handles it together and with care.
