Industry standard (or better) pay. Growing and ever changing landscape of new opportunities within the company, I've had some wonderful colleagues, peers, and supervision. I think the C-Suite is genuine and trying to do the right thing for the employees and the long term plan but it's a difficult balance. It's nice to feel your company has your back.

Recent merger has led to silos in what used to be old HQs. It's government contracting, the old boys club is a factor. (In fairness I've only seen maybe one bad hire due to personal connections) Mileage may vary depending on your department and contract.
