Lack of management, policies and procedures. Emphasis placed on profit-low value placed on employee investment (salary, training, advancement, etc.) and company morale. Chaotic and outdated infrastructure on its last legs--unstable regulations and lack of clear direction make for losses in productivity, low morale, and a frustrated workforce. Upper management unwilling to listen to employee concerns, unprofessional in handling employee affairs, and nepotism is used as a leadership style. Lack of HR department makes for huge liability and a distressing work environment--confidential employee information and records are shared freely amongst non-management. Lack of opportunity for advancement. Hostile work environment for many employees.
