If you want a work hard play hard workplace that will push your skills, this is a great spot for you. A variety of project types keeps things interesting. Flexible with time and remote work. Ownership is a very real option for any employee.

This industry can be very stressful. You need to be very good with time management or it will be miserable. Need to be able to balance half a dozen different projects in a given week. A lot of smart people here that can be intimidating if you just want to coast.

They offer something that not a lot of others do, the AP program, to make sure all of their engineers have passed off these modules for steel, wood, masonry, etc. Culture is great, and most of the people are smart and personable.

It’s no secret that they are the slave drivers of the industry here. Incredibly cheap because they don’t pay their employees a fair rate. They make a lot of empty promises and while they grind their lower level engineers to death, executives continue to bring in work and attempt to manage their own projects, poorly. They can’t keep project managers or hire any, and when one leaves, their projects get dumped onto whatever poor souls are remaining. Little accountability from management. Careful who you speak to and work for, they won’t hesitate to stab you in the back and throw you under the bus to a client just so they can save face.
