Vantaggi
- No much within corporate actions team unless you're with the team that actually has good management.
Svantaggi
- Unhealthy finishing and working times: In the department I was in, you have to wait for the "green light to leave" feels like as if your are school children. Experienced a team lead that would forget to give the green light, the team lead is happy to work till 7:30pm and keep everyone they don't like back by dumping las minis work to "help the team" or hide errors and drop them on you end of the day for you to sort out. Very big topic the entire team are not happy about and no change ever happens around this which falls on management's death ears. Funny, as the head of the department never stays past 5pm unlike other managers, and happily leaves at 5pm which sets a really negative tone. - Micro management: Awful experiences being micromanaged by seniors and team lead constantly monitoring me and badgering me. "Why have you not done all tyre assignments?" after assigning me more tasks then the team. 4 weeks when I first started, my nice manager said it was ok for me to leave at 5pm during probation. This changed when my old manager left after I first started. A senior heavily micromanaged me during my time there, and once told to stay past 5pm until the green light was given to leave, which my old manager said during the training period I could leave at 5. But the senior, who behaviours like a nagging Karen told me to stay past 5 despite having no work while that individual mainly works from home. ever since then had a big distrust and work tension which is awful to deal with on a day to day basis. - Training and feedback: Training was messy. I was taught by one person, and then another person had to train me due to low staff and high turn over. Then turns out that person said it was not the right way. Then another senior would providing further training and the other senior would say, no thats incorrect. this was massively frustrating, management didn't care and they didn't want to be accountable. Feedback always feels more like giving jibs "oh why did you do that" "you should know this by know" feeding you bread crumbs to why you are wrong and you are unsure "please have a loom at the task" not helpful when you are busy and also unsure which destroyed my confidence. High turn over: Other members of the team mentioned the turn over was high where new starters found out quickly how messy the department is and left. Heard a girl who was in my role was only there for 2 months and left, always being blamed for things when she was trained in a way that was wrong in the eyes of other seniors. (under staffing issues) The team I was in on the events creation side is HEAVILY understaffed due to (A) High turn over of new starters. (B) Bad reviews left from former employees warning people NOT to pursue this job as it could potentially ruin you're mental health and career history being dismissed to "poor performance" being set unrealistic targets
