      A laid back atmosphere still exists in some areas. Many of the people who work at Bank of New York are exceedingly bright and work in a very cooperative way.

      The domination of legacy Mellon over legacy BNY: Pittsburg over New York; regimentation over innovation. Needless squabbles between individuals, teams, business areas and divisions over matters of turf, procedure and authority. Watch your back. Low pay relative to other similar institutions, aside from being a downside in itself, often makes for a rather hapless attitude among employees.
