As someone who didn't have an IT background I was grateful for the opportunity and the job is pretty simple. Software testing isn't too difficult of a job even though most of the testing was repetitive. Most of the testing is the same unless the manager wants to change you to a different team. . This isn't an ordinary 9-5 job the hours are long depending on the project so sometimes work stops at 7 or 8 so there's a lack of work/life balance. The testing can get repetitive and boring after a while. Sometimes you can expect an attitude and slow response times from some of the upper-level management during the higher level software testing. I got conflicting messages on how long training was suppose to be and some of my coworkers don't know how to train. Some of the older co-workers were extremely sarcastic and tough. There's a lack of upward mobility and growth many of my coworkers were there for years.
