I applied for one job and after interviewing, was offered another, lower paid and temporary conditional offer. During that 3 month stint, I was on a team of all women, which as a woman myself is not inherently a problem.
But I was ostracized, I would see everyone else at lunch together and I didn't get the invite. In one meeting with my boss and one other senior coworker, my boss proceeded to ask if I was happy working there because I had "resting (you know what) face." I was stunned.
I talked to other people on other teams who had different experiences so I think it was not reflective of the entire org but it was definitely a very toxic, unhappy environment and at the end of the three months, when I didn't get the full time offer, I was honestly relieved.
