I have been working at BVS for well over a decade. The product is by far the best in the industry and therefore easy to sell if you have a true understanding of the consultative sales process and are effective at managing accounts. I have had success and seen my compensation steadily grow each year. If you put in the work you will definitely see results. I have been treated very well by all at BVS and work on a daily basis without any of the ‘micro-management’ referred to by those who have left previous reviews. Clearly if you work hard and meet targets you are not micro-managed. Senior management has been incredibly supportive and has helped me develop my skills on a daily basis. The company stands behind its product. Service and support are second to none. BVS is a company I have always been, and continue to be, very proud to work for.

The office is located in Midtown Toronto. While this location is a plus for those who take the TTC, driving has become a huge headache due to ongoing construction in the area.

There are some good people who work here (e.g., Michael Sacks). They can give you actionable advice on how to progress accounts, demo the product, and ultimately be successful.

Michael Sacks is (as of December 2024) in poor health. Accordingly, managing the sales team has fallen to Phyllis Simon, the CEO's wife. She confuses age with wisdom and thinks she is God's gift to sales. In your 1-on-1's with her, she will berate you for every little thing you did wrong. If you haven't done anything wrong, she'll make something up. Ever heard the phrase "there's no such thing as a dumb question"? To Phyllis, there's no such thing as a good question. She is not there to help you. Turnover has been a problem for years there, and of the half dozen former salespeople I've spoken to, each has specified Phyllis as the problem. If it was just me, fine, maybe I'm bitter. But it isn't just me.
