The compensation was good. At a high level - top of the house - they were savvy strategists. At the front line level workers were competent and cooperative. Mid and upper level management was lacking.

There was constant turnover and reorganization with Barcap. We'd establish relationships with technical team members only to find them terminated seemingly at random. Time after time. Our direct senior leader was ineffective, only concerned with political issues perhaps out of necessity since survival seemed to be hinged upon political alliances. Considerable dysfunction was the norm.
