Vantaggi

I was offered a dream job outside of corporate PR and it was still a difficult decision to take it, because I liked working at Beckerman so much. It is a really wonderful place to work. There is an emphasis on hiring people who fit in with the company culture. Beckerman employees work hard, putting in long hours when necessary, but are also a friendly, positive group of people who enjoy socializing with each other. Simply put, this isn't a place for a corporate robot. Interns are paid, and great interns are often hired as full-time entry level staff. Upper level employees take an interest in mentoring younger staff. Compensation is fair, and PTO is generous.

Svantaggi

More can be done to encourage company-wide knowledge about the client work being performed in other practice groups.

Vantaggi

There are some cool people there, they strive to build camaraderie w/after-work gatherings like softball or bowling ...and you get to work with some interesting accounts. Getting out early on Fridays in summer is nice. Good benefits

Svantaggi

Pay is low for the amount of work you do; Oftentimes, if an employee leaves, they are not replaced -- but rather, everyone else just has to do more work to compensate for fewer people. Despite being told we work 8:30 - 5:30, anyone who tries to leave before 6 is made to feel like they're doing something wrong and despite everyone working extremely hard and long hours, employees are often scolded during staff meetings (or in e-mails from the president) for not working as hard as management. Some words about the president: When the staff decided to do an office pool for March Madness, he decided the winner would be donating their winnings to charity. However, when he won the Super Bowl pool earlier that year, he made no such proclamation. You may have heard this already, but the man gained some notoriety when he sent out an angry e-mail threatening to terminate employees for drinking the milk and not replacing it The company definitely has their favorites and if you aren't one of them, good luck
