The best thing about working at Best Buy is the other people you work with. At times the customers can really get to you, they make you want to pull your hair out to be quite honest. They ask you questions, then immediately challenge your answers. Ya know what buddy? If you already know all the answers stop asking me. Anyhow, the people you work with are fun, creative folks that really do care about their jobs, to a certain extent. The pay is relatively fair and on par with other jobs in retail. The benefits were reportedly very good, but I was part-time PCHO so I wouldn't know. The room for advancement is certainly attractive, but very competetive.

The only real downside to working with best buy for me was my inability to move up in the company. I put alot into the job and didn't really get a fair return, however I cannot necessarily blame this on Best Buy or it's management/policies. I wasn't there for that long, I was only part-time, and there were not that many positions available at the time. The GM did try to work with me in that regard, much kudo's to that fine individual, she absolutely cares about all of her employees. For me it was just the fact that I couldn't move up with this great company, I didn't have the patience.

No Need to sell or deal with customers (Much) Constantly moving so you always have a task to do Management leaves you to your own devices Almost all warehouse employees have a set of headphone

Everyone (Cust & employees) Expect an encyclopedic knowledge on where every single item is. Management seems to think we can lift a 85" tv, pull a washer off the top shelf, stock gaming shelves, and handle store pick up at the same moment. Customers think we don't want to help them when we call someone else to help with sales There's almost too much to do and even though we may have 1-3 employees working at a time, 1 is at the door, 1 is behind store pick up, which leaves 1 employee to handle new orders, deliveries, and down stocking.
