The folks who work there are nice, salt of the earth people. Many have been there a long time. And they're ready to do their best for the company. They give their best everyday. There is a free lunch in the cafeteria and free parking. Health Benefits are okay. The Black Box brand still has some meaning with customers.

Senior management are left overs from the "bad old days" with the former CEO who was investigated and removed by the SEC and made many of the mistakes that current employees have to struggle with. Investors seem to now be wising up and punishing management by pushing down the stock price. Unfortunately, hiring decisions of senior management seem to be made more on outside company connections/benefits than on the competence of the senior manager. This is a great company with a lot of potential, but long time senior management just seems intent on killing the golden goose. I could not suggest this is a good employer to anyone .

There genuinely are a lot of great people working here but they are often lower level employees. Great work-life balance and flexibility (for the most part..) Solid benefits package(health insurance, PTO, etc)

Communication with management is very poor. They hardly consider the opinions of the “worker bees.” Compensation and incentives slowly eroded while you continue to take on more work. “Feathers in your cap” does not count as compensation. Very little, if any, commission. Far too aggressive targets for the resources available. Extreme offshoring of existing positions leading to everyone feeling like they have a gun pointed to their head. Executives hardly have any idea what their organization even looks like on a day to day basis. “Visionary” executives don’t cut it. Most importantly: non-existent path for career development and growth. Taken advantage of, especially in this role. Major conflicts of interests with AM’s and management surrounding growing out of the SSE position.
