I genuinely like everyone I've worked with at Bonusly. If I had to pick one word to describe this company it's "pragmatic". We try things, we experiment, and we ship often.
We're users of our own products. That gives us a pretty good sense of what's great and what we need to keep working on. We don't always know or agree on the solutions. So, we try things, balanced by caution for the external user experience. While we don't always get that balance right ... we do learn and improve every time.
As an engineer, I love this pragmatic experimentation. It gives me such an opportunity to experiment and learn and grow in many dimensions. Raph, JT and Judith, our product leadership, are at the heart of the "pragmatic experimentation" culture I mentioned, and all three of them give me guidance regularly. I came here to learn how to build software that is delightful, useful, AND profitable, and I am learning exactly that.

Our codebase has residue from experiments past and that can interrupt a clean development flow. We're working on it bit by bit, but there's never enough time to do a full purge while we focus on shipping things users actually see and want.
