It supports your career desire, values individual values, supports work-life balance, encourages flexible schedule and has many interesting yet high impact projects to choose from. However, interesting and creative projects do not come as free lunch. You have to look for yourself and develop the capabilities when the opportunities come. Not everyone in the Booz Allen has the same caliber but there are many smart people in the firm. You just need to find them and work with them. The firm provides such an environment and senior management encourages it.

It has become a big firm. Sometimes it is difficult to switch roles between a true consultant and a contractor. Consultant requires analytical mindset and creativity to problem solving where a contractor is just a contractor to perform something less valuable from the client. There are business reasons that you will be a contractor sometimes and it is difficult to get off if the client has the money to pay your time. If Booz Allen has more contractor roles than consultant roles, it will not be able to charge premium and the overall IC of the firm will decline. It will need to hire a different profile of people and the promotion path will be no different from other contracting company.
