Senior Management has highly questionable business ethics with regard to their products. Product Managers do not manage product lines - they are project managers. There are too many "chefs" managing the product portfolio kitchen that a PM cannot make any changes whatsoever without a committee meeting, months of analysis, then more meetings. Operations and Engineering staffing was not increased to keep up with double digit sales goals which has impacted new product development as well as standard product lead times. Even "me too" and "slam dunk" products take over 2 years to launch. With the closure of the MASCO Product Design Group, expect new product development to languish for the next several years.
