Vantaggi

When I considered taking a job at Break Something about 2 years ago, I was concerned about the negative reviews on Glassdoor. And while Break Something is a young company and there are definitely growing pains, I've overall had such a positive experience here! The employees of Break Something recently unionized, and management and our amazing HR director were so proactive fulfilling the new terms of our contract -- like setting up DEI trainings, providing stipends for mental health services, etc. The people who work here are definitely the best part of the job, and I've found that senior management is so receptive to my requests to learn certain skills, take on certain types of work/certain types of clients. I've learned a ton and the management at Break Something supports and encourages that.

Svantaggi

Cyclical nature of work because of campaigns, longer hours during peak campaign season but that comes with the territory of any work in campaigns.

Vantaggi

I came to Break Something with only a few months of job experience in digital. I'm very happy to be here and am thankful to the partners for taking a chance on me though I didn't have a lot of experience. Pay is market rate, free health care, dental, and vision, stipend for phone, 401k, office snacks, OK amount of PTO (15 days). Super generous cycle bonuses, even for entry-level employees. Coworkers are young and fun to work with, lots of room to take on added responsibility and to learn. Work is really interesting, you learn a ton of stuff in a short period of time (creative work, CRMs, using social media for political purposes), low client turnover Bosses are very involved in day to day operations of the company and aren't too proud to help you out with day to day work (sometimes can manifest as micromanaging but this is improving).

Svantaggi

This is a very young company, which means growing pains. There are many new people being hired and many new clients coming on at any given time which can be very hectic, and a lot of systems are developing (for example, 401k, healthcare had not been added when I first came on; as of right now, website is still in the works, something which seems suspicious to prospective employees, and there isn't yet a system for transport stipends or health and wellness (obviously not required but something that many competitors have) Working in a WeWork is kind of frustrating Pretty long hours at times, particularly during EOM and EOQ
