Schedules are pretty relaxed and flexible, you can pick your base days, or the days you would prefer to work, and they never force employees to work any time they don't want to. They are also very understanding about rescheduling shifts due to conflicts, and they are good at working around your other school or work schedules. Also, the team is full of friendly, awesome people, and we try to have lots of out-of-work events like company parties where you can get to know each other better. I also really like that you feel like you get something out of the job when you educate people about solar, supporting green energy in your community.

There is a lot of travel involved, although we are only obligated to go 30 miles from our houses, many good events are farther than this. Also, it is sometimes hard to get the right equipment for events if they require special things beyond what we normally have. And organization could be better, it would be nice to know our schedule more than a few days in advance. As in any kind of sales job, this job does entail a lot of rejection and customer interaction, but staying positive helps with that.
