they lie to you from the start saying that you'll make about 80k I your first year. However once you get settled in you realize that 90% of the SDR's don't hit quota EVER! Its extremely unattainable unless you work above and beyond what they pay you. On top of that they try to hide the real way in which you make commission. The commission truly isn't even up to you, you have to set the initial meeting and then for you to see any commission the AE has to get them to agree to a second meeting. And then if and when a deal closes which can take anywhere from 4-6 months you see less than 1% of the monthly plan that the customer purchased. And all while you are already working hard enough managers are encouraging you to work harder. I started to realize all of this about 3 months into the role and even though I was out performing many people that I was on boarded with I was given a PIP with numbers that I had to hit by the end of the month before I was fired. Ive already been applying since I've been depressed due to this job for the past few months. DO not fall into the same trap I did.
