Broadcom is an excellent company in many ways. It is a very financially sound company, highly disciplined right from the top to the very bottom. In some ways, it becomes very straightforward to then understand what our responsibilities are. Every business franchise has clear fiscal year targets to strive for. It is heartening to see this kind of focus towards reaching business goals. The biggest thing I admire about the company is that the message from the top is extremely consistent year after year. I have never been part of a company with this degree of financial discipline top to bottom. This is found in every aspect of the company's operations. Broadcom is most definitely led from the front in this aspect by our CEO. The acquisition and staying back with Broadcom (of CA Technologies) in 2018 has worked wonders for many employees financially.

A lot depends on which division you are part of, but the overall message is very simple and consistent. All businesses have to perform and achieve their targets. This is more a pro than a con. I'd wish as an overall entity, we were a bit more flexible to the employees (but this could again potentially have an impact in driving the company philosophy to some extent). The COVID situation could have been handled better.
