I was a really happy person and then I worked at Burberry. At first I loved it it was fast paced and lots to do. Then you realise that the excessive and unnecessary workload keeps coming. Management expect you to be there until 9pm every night if needs be to get it done. In fact working until crazy hours may be the only way you get career progression but even then you would be lucky. Everyone stays at one level usually for years and most will leave because of this. The staff turnover is high. I worked in a team of 25 with 80% leaving within a year. Senior management can be incredibly rude, derogatory and unprofessional. They will treat you as if you're a 5 year old. There is no communication between senior management and lower levels.
