It was the people, but they have all left. So none.
Svantaggi
In my short time with this company, they lost approx. 1 staff member every 10 working days (in some cases even less than that). Management does not allow for open dialogue. If you raise an issue or you have an alternative opinion, it is unwelcome. They don’t want to find common ground with you. They are unwilling to change their status quo (to their detriment as they foster an extremely toxic culture of fear). Do not even think about taking a sick day, as you will be berated in front of your co-workers for letting down your clients and losing the organisation thousands of dollars in lost fees. When queried about access to EAP services, their response was that we chose our careers, therefore we ‘knew what we were getting into'. It is this kind of prehistoric view on workplace mental health that drives people away. Of course, for an organisation that is offering mental health services, the irony of denying it to their own staff is astounding. If you are considering working for this company, I ask you to seriously consider if you value your professional development, your mental health, your happiness, because they won’t think about that for you. You will be just another cog in a machine that continues to limp along, while it’s operator smashes at the buttons, kicks at the wheels, and demands to know ‘why won’t you work harder?’. The most dangerous part about BFS though, is that you have two untrained, unqualified senior leaders, telling (all) junior staff how to do their job. They have zero experience in the field of counselling, therapy, psychology etc yet they have no issue telling their staff how to handle their clients' needs. They are as far from authentic as it gets. Their outward-facing marketing does not match the internal workings. There are plenty of other organisations out there that will value you, your skills, and what you have to offer. But this company is not one of them. They will try to wow you with 'multiple locations' and 'rapid growth' but it is a lie because they cannot manage to hold onto staff long enough to experience growth of any kind.
