There were several concerns around workplace culture and structure. Communication felt heavily monitored, with one shared email across the organization and limited autonomy in day-to-day tasks. We were not allowed to keep personal notes, and materials like agenda books had to be returned daily and were reviewed, which created a lack of trust.
The environment itself could be intense, with frequent yelling and unprofessional behavior, including calling team members names in front of others. While there were some positives, like shared team lunches, even those came with added pressure as employees were expected to prepare them.
Overall, the experience reinforced the importance of a respectful, transparent, and supportive workplace culture.
