Extremely old school company, run by absolute out of tough higher ups who are fat and happy on their shares. They’re not going anywhere. So what does that mean for you? That means you’re not going anywhere either, in terms of your career. Get settled into your position because you’ll be there for a while. If you get a “promotion” you’ll be doing the same job with a menial title change and equally as menial raise. CAPTRUST prides itself on their shareholder program. I’m sure it was great back in the day, but times have changed! You have to wait 3-4 years to become a “Shareholder” aka now you’re in “the club”. You even get a shirt now that declares your “Shareholder” status across the back (are you kidding me!?). You’re definitely treated as less-than before then. Lastly, management has been asking current and former employees to leave good reviews to improve their Glassdoor score. This is just NOT ok.
