co-workers from every department were great as mentors. They were all extremely helpful, adhered to best lab practices, but also quite relaxed. It also felt like a very well organized company. There were also monthly training sessions for coops and post docs where someone from industry would come to give a talk.

As a coop student, we didn't get a desk outside of the lab. This could be a pro if you like doing all your desk work inside the lab. However, I found it to be quite cold, dimly lit, not a very great environment to be doing desk work in. The temperature and lighting varied depending on which area of the labs you're located.
